Aunjanue Ellis

Aunjanue Ellis Taylor, an American screen and stage actor and producer. She is best known as an actress in films for her role in Ray Undercover Brother (Ray Undercover Brother) and The Mentalist. She graduated with an B.A. from African-American Studies, from Brown University. Her MFA is in acting from Tisch School of acting at New York University. Aunjanue Lisa Ellis is a producer and American actor active in the theatre, television and film. Her acting career began in the theatre. Then she appeared on various television series, independent films and mainstream movies. Her most well-known role was Miranda Shaw on ABC's Quantico and was a part of BET's epic show The Book of Negroes for that she was not only rewarded with high praise but also a number of nominations and awards including a Television Critics Choice Award nomination for Best Actress in a Movie. Her career began acting in 1995 when she played Ariel on the stage in The Tempest. Her stage credits include the Broadway show of the Joe Turner musical Come and Gone A Winter's Tale Drowning Crow and Seeking the Genesis. The most recognizable part of her career is her role in the series Men of Honor, the Caveman's Valentine The Express & The Help. In the world of television, her character in ABC's police drama High Incident is well known.
